What MQ collects

MQ collects account details, company details, user roles, customer and contact information, quote/proposal/job/variation/actuals data, Library records, import files and staged rows, drawings and attachments, audit/security logs, support enquiries, demo requests, billing metadata where configured, and technical information needed to operate and secure the service.

Information from other people

Users may upload or enter customer, supplier, employee, operator, and contact information about people who are not the account user. The customer remains responsible for having the right to provide that information and for any notices required to those people, including indirect-collection obligations where applicable.

How MQ uses information

We use information to provide the service, authenticate users, separate tenant data, support accounts, maintain audit evidence, generate proposals/job sheets, process imports and files, manage plans, secure the platform, troubleshoot incidents, improve the workflow, and comply with law.

Sharing and providers

MQ does not sell personal information or show advertising. We may share information with infrastructure, authentication, database, storage, hosting, support, security, analytics, legal, accounting, or professional providers where needed to run MQ.

Storage and overseas processing

MQ uses managed cloud infrastructure and may process or store information outside New Zealand.

Security

MQ uses company-scoped application access, row-level security patterns, server-side controls for trusted transitions, private file access patterns, audit logs, and authentication controls. No system is perfectly secure; customers must manage their own users, devices, passwords, roles, exports, and downloaded files.

Retention and deletion

Quote, proposal, accepted job, variation, audit, and legal evidence may need to be retained for business integrity. Retention, export, deletion, anonymisation, and backup-expiry handling may vary according to the service configuration and applicable commercial terms.

Access and correction

People may request access to or correction of personal information held by MQ. Contact hello@manufacturequote.com. We may need to verify identity and coordinate with the customer company that controls the relevant workspace data.

Privacy breaches

If we identify a privacy breach likely to cause serious harm, we will assess notification duties under the Privacy Act 2020 and take appropriate steps, including notifying affected people and the Privacy Commissioner where required.

Cookies and analytics

MQ uses cookies or similar storage where required for authentication and application operation. Analytics or marketing cookies should only be described as active if configured and verified.
